Real Madrid officially presented Franco Mastantuono on August 14, coincidentally his 18th birthday. The ritualistic ceremony was the opening salvo to his career at the Spanish giant. The Argentine signed a six-year contract, which ended on June 2031.
Overwhelmed by emotion, Mastantuono said:
“It’s a very special day for me… it’s a dream come true, both as a footballer and as a person. I promise I will give everything for this shirt.
Club president Florentino Pérez, in his welcome speech, put a focus on the historic link between River Plate and Real Madrid, as the player’s family and club authorities attended the function.
Mastantuono assured that he will wear number 30, the same as at River Plate—a jersey number he requested specifically and was granted by the team.
